Computer Reach is a non-profit social enterprise that trains volunteers to refurbish used computers and digital equipment in an environmentally responsible manner. We work with funding partners to provide refurbished equipment to qualified humanitarian organizations around the world to meet their technology needs so they can better serve their communities. We support the equipment we place and specify environmentally responsible recycling.

Project Abstract
Computer Reach relies on a dedicated and constantly growing group of adult and teen volunteers from schools, churches, businesses and community groups to help us install, train and support our computer labs throughout our Western Pennsylvania communities every week. Computer Reach partners with non-profit technology companies outside of Western PA to support our worldwide deployment of recycled computer labs. We use a database-driven web site that can immediately print a comprehensive record about volunteers and how many hours they’ve worked. This is a useful tool for keeping track of community service or teacher-required volunteer hours.
Target Population
Low income schools, churches, community centers, libraries. All ages and nationalities are served Software installations of Mac and Linux free software can serve everyone at a low cost with minimal support required.
